Od 2010r. dokumentuje życie codzienne społeczności w post konfliktowej Irlandii Północnej w trakcie procesu pokojowego, od 2017 roku fotografuje historie uchodźców i migrantów z Afryki Zachodniej mieszkających na Sycylii.
Laureat wielu prestiżowych nagród i wyróżnień w Polsce i za granicą, m.in. magazynu National Geographic (2011,2012,2015) Grand Press Photo (2017, 2018), IPA w USA i Sony World Photo Award.
Autor wielu indywidualnych i zbiorowych wystaw w Stanach Zjednoczonych, Wielkiej Brytanii, Włoszech, Hong Kongu i w Polsce.
Współpracuje z Institute for Conflict Research w Belfaście.

As an orphan, He lived with his uncle in Gambia, but when he was 14 years old, his uncle told him that he must go to Ahmadiyya conversion, when Sama refused, his uncle said he would kill him, so he escaped from the village. His trip from Gambia to Italy lasted for a year and he came to Sicily as teenager in 2015. He used to live at the center for minors refugee. At the beginning of 2018 he was forced to leave the center for unaccompanied minors.

The most engaged constructors daily spend several hours or over half a day on this; sometimes they already begin mustering up materials in January: wooden pallets, furniture or anything which can be set afire. Everything is gathered not far from the target site on which the towers will arise.
